Moonlight Chinese Dance Group was established in June 2003 with the mission to share our development and appreciation of Chinese dance and culture in Southern California. What began as a passion for Chinese folk dance soon developed into the dedication for cultural exchange between the Chinese community and other communities in the United States.
Now, sixteen years later, Moonlight Chinese Dance Group continues to pursue high-grade artistic quality, presenting spectacular folk dances from a multitude of regions located in China and East Asia, including Han Dance, Dai Dance, and Uyghur Dance. Moonlight performs annually in International Dance Festivals, Multi-Cultural Arts Festivals, and various other events across California and Mexico, receiving multiple awards such as the Elite Platinum and Judge’s Choice Award (2018 Regional Taoli World Dance Competition).
Since our foundation, we continue to see tremendous growth both within our company and in the broader community. Join us in our movement to promote Chinese cultural awareness and appreciation through the beauty of dance.
